ok there were alot of issues brought up in this topic. But someone is still to mention christian prejudice against some other religions. i would like to hear peoples views on this topic, as you being christians, and me not i predict an interesting disscussion!
hears one for ya, if there was a black person in the street, would you think, oh, they shouldnt be black, they should be white like meor for someone who is black, vise versa? if you are thinking, of course not, thats inhuman!
then if you saw someone going into a wiccan shop, or you knew that they were a witch would you think they shouldnt be a witch thats evil or thats bad they should be a christian?
if yes what other religions/groups of people do u discriminate against, gay/lesbian? menatlly ill? muslim? islam? buddists?
i would be VERY interested to hear your replies
Blessed Be

Greetings.
It is not the color of the skin that determine the righteousness of God. It is faith.
Christians, more than likely, do not discriminate anyone but too often would lament that those who are into sin should probably come to know God through Christ.
What is right and what is wrong? Much depends on your own principle. To someone who is practising withchcraft, no amount of words from anyone would lead him to believe that there is anything wrong with it. To yet another who is into cult, the same will take place. This happen because of the upbringing and belief that the person has within himself.
Everyone based his judgement on issues in accordance to the belief that he held on to or in accordance to his own principles. Christians hold on to the Righteousness that God has given and from what we have learnt, we have come to be able to know right from wrong. But, again, our right may be a wrong in the eyes of others of another faith.
It is just the same everywhere in this world. Take for example:
A parent allows his daughter to hang out till the wee hour of the morning. It is okay, he would say. But yet another parent does not allow his daughter to stay beyond 11 pm. Now, who is right and who is wrong? Obviously, much depends on the one who lays the regulations - his principle within him.
Therefore, do not be too quick to label Christians as being discriminatory towards others; it isnt so but that we based our righteousness from what God has made known to us.....It just may be something you could not accept because you are not of the same faith and for this reason, I can understand and accept.
God bless.

Moonchild, racial discrimination is not at issue here. That is a side issue that derives from a sinful heart. It knows no religious boundaries. Any race, color or creed is capable of discriminating based on color of skin or physical / mental limitations is another.
In the New Testament of the Bible, God has made it quite clear that we are either new creation in Christ or we have no hope for salvation. It is not the Christian that discriminates against other practices, but what the Christian believes to be the true Word of God.
The Koran labels those outside the Islamic faith as infidels. This is far from unique to Christianity.
