I was just in US and The World history class and we had a special speaker. (By the way I go to Madison East High School in Wisconsin) She talked about HIV and AIDS. She said, "Condoms are the most effective means of preventing HIV. They are 95% effective in preventing HIV. There is no debate in its effectiveness." At no time during her presentation was abstinance or waiting mentioned, even once. The only consolation she gave us in avoiding this was to (basically) know if your "partner" has it, to use a condom, and to get checked out at the doctor.
quote from presentation as the best way to avoid HIV:
" * get tested
*know HIV serostatus of intimate partners (trust doesn't iliminate crisis)
*know how it gets past on
*communicate the level of risk you are willing (unwilling) to take."
She also gave us these as "HIV risk free sex activities" :
" holding hands
kissing
prayer
tribadism - humping w/clothes on [w/aperson]
[and to keep in mind:] ANY sexual activity between 2 people of same HIV status
Near the end of the presentation she also mentioned that you are not likely to get HIV through (word banned) in mouth activity: her solution to this "small risk" was simply to rince your mouth out afterward.
(This was a senior class of high school students)

Warrior, there is so much spiritual darkness you teens are getting pushed in your direction today. Keep a firm grip on the light of Jesus Christ my friend. It sounds to me like you have a firm grip now.
Stay in prayer for your peers Warrior. I know I always will.

Warrior
Greetings.
Take heart over what you have heard. For in this world, even if one is a teacher, how could anything good come out of it?
But if you have Christ, you will know "right" from "wrong" because you are spiritually-guided. That is why you were feeling annoyed by what that particular speaker has delivered. Take heart and let your heart rules. Just remember this:
Although we are in the world, we are not of the world. Therefore there will always be sinful teachings or beliefs that you would be encountering. But learn to "eat the fish and throw away the bones" attitude is what we Christians should learn. Whatever that is good, as apostle Paul stated, put them into practices. By "Good" of course it must be measured by the righteousness of God and not of the world.
So, if you could not agree with that speaker, just throw away whatever you have heard. God did give you wisdom to decide what should go into your head.
God bless.
