Romans 5:14 can point to orginal sin as opposed to active sin,

Active sin inactive sin sin is sin and it will ALWAYS create's death. Jesus died unto sin and became deaths Lord of Lord's and King of King's. Thus as the first Adam sinned so the second Adam lives forever.

Agreed Motboc. I still think I'm missing the relationship to free will. Am I understanding your position to be that free will is a non issue because of original sin? I'm not getting the connection you are trying to make and it's probably me. I don't like tackling an answer unless I understand the question. I've had enough burns on my backside from past experiences. Laughing

FREEDOM OF CHOICE

Freedom of choice, freedom to pray what choice will you make today? Freedom of Life or Death in the tongue the choice is made. Freedom to select according to the mind’s sway. What selection will you make today? Freedom to choose the renewed mind way or concur carnally and not see the living way. Mental ascent will blind the eyes to the fullness God provides. But freedom of choice is given to all to walk according to God’s call. However many are called but few are choosen. Come be all you can be for Him in His mercy and grace, the choice is yours. May we spread our leafs unto Him and become the choice fruit, the first fruit which belongs to Him by choice.

Still missing the connection to Romans 5, (I'm sure it's me) but I don't disagree with you for the most part Motboc. I'm a little closer to believing as Otto implies, is that will truly free?

To put a more personal spin on it, can a true servant of God do anything other than serve God? Is the call to minister subject to negotiation? My experience says no, but that's me. Others I have talked to in the pastoral ministry note the very same thought. It's not that they plotted their course into the minsitry but felt drawn to it. Now, the television evangleists on the other hand, they plotted their course into the $$$ Laughing

What about the lay person who fixes the plumbing, directs the choir, rakes the leaves and mows the lawn? Is their will free to disregard the task, or is the Holy Spirit motivating them in the Love of Christ. In my own case, if I were left to my own personal motivation, I would procrastinate the day away. Praise be to God He doesn't leave me to my own devices,l as a bigger goof off you will never find. Very Happy

Rom. 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

This includes Sin, Choices, Death,...etc. For He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, He rules with a rod of iron breaking the pots of clay Rev. 2:27.

It does not matter what we choose, God uses it to further His kingdom rule. And you are right about T.V. evanglist $$$$ Very Happy besides it says in the last day they would make merchandise of men's souls...YESsssss, brotherrrr if you will give I will cover you and you will prosper. Support this ministry and God will take care of you.

Ya, if you like walking in darkness. Rolling Eyes The only two choices are light or darkness choose this day who you are going to sever because you are going to serve wheter you want to or not.... Laughing

Ish. 45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

EV:Woe to him who strives with him who formed him,
a pot among earthen pots!
Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’
or ‘Your work has no handles’?
