How do we "eat His flesh?"
How do we "drink His blood?"
This must have been demonstrated by the Disciples of Christ, because it is truth that "He dwelleth in them, and they dwelleth in Him." |
As a born Roman Catholic, I used to depend on our priests to expound on the word of God. Now I realized I belong to the first group of listeners to our Lord, THE JEWS. I realized this when our Lord said:
“Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it.”
THE JEWS:
• Joh 2:20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
• Mat 27:40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.
By the grace of God, now I can “see” the second group of listeners, THE DISCIPLES of Christ:
THE DISCIPLES:
They just waited for our Lord to expound on His words, knowing that He is speaking in parables:
• Mar 4:34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and WHEN THEY WERE ALONE, HE EXPOUNDED ALL THINGS TO HIS DISCIPLES.
Thus,
• Joh 2:21 But he spake of the temple of his body.
• Joh 2:22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
For our Lord saying, “Eat my flesh and drink my blood,” now I simply wait for Him to expound on His words. |

We don't eat Jesus flesh or blood physically. It is a parable of Having the ultimate faith in Christ, spiritually. Alot of things in the Bible you can't take it literally. Most scriptures pertain as symbols or meanings.
