GregW, I happened to read in the Holy Bible the two contrasting consequence of “flesh and blood.”
When Peter recognized Jesus “by the revelation of the Father,” our Lord told him:
• Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for FLESH AND BLOOD hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Jesus’ directive to the great multitudes that followed Him:
• Joh 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye EAT THE FLESH of the Son of man, and DRINK HIS BLOOD, ye have no life in you.
The “flesh and blood” of our Lord is opposed to the “flesh and blood” of Peter. |

Does “flesh and blood” of Peter which he did not draw on in recognizing our Lord Jesus have something to do with “eating the flesh” and “drinking the blood” of our Lord?
• Mat 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
• Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the CHRIST, the SON of the living God.
• Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
From the foregoing truth, clearly recognizing Jesus must be “a miracle.” Today, many people profess the same thing, “Jesus is the CHRIST and the SON of God,” but they have different perceptions of Him, like:
• “Jesus is only a man and not God”
• “Jesus is only a mighty God for there is a Supreme or Almighty God”
• “Jesus Christ is the NAME of Father God and the Holy Spirit”
• “Jesus is both God and man, and He is the 2nd person of the Trinity”
Who, really, is JESUS CHRIST? |

Well Jesus is his earthly name....Christ means messiah...Jesus was a man blessed by are God in heaven. He was sent here to fullfill, and help a dieing world. Jesus is not a God there is only one God! God has no name, were supposed to call him Yahwey, which means no need for name. EXODUS 3:14...I AM WHO I AM. Yes I am a son of God. Were all Gods Childeren. So is Jesus! |
