Q - should Felons after they have served there time be shunned?

after all we all make mistakes right?

Reason i ask we had to vote in a new Pastor and one of the Men that came up is a former felon, yes he is now a Born again Christian. Not a lot of schooling but non the less is Ordained and is active in ministry, alot of members voted against him, but i feel it is not right and in our church we can have a appeal in voting if we feel somenone has been done wrong, which in this case i feel has happened, only because this man is a convicted felon.

maybe iam wrong in thinking this, so i ask for your opinion in this matters please give me your views........thanks

Thank GOd that none of those who voted him out are Jesus! If they were, we would ALL go to hell. As Jesus said in Matthew 6:

14For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Matthew 18
35So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Felons to be shunned or not to be? Its true that the world has so many requirements that one can hardly find a job. But this know, that the more difficut it gets the more reason there is to turn to the lord. When the bricks you've made become bricks without straw then its time to say: To your tents O Israel. When they begin to say: My father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions, then you'll know its time to say yo. When there is none to sign your paper to wipe the slate clean you'll know what I mean, when your name is slandered and there is none to deliver and you hold up your paper to heaven to see if there might couldst be a chance left for thee that somebody up there might couldst say everythings okay, that you can keep on keepin on that way, then know too Gods there for you.
