hey what are yall thoughts on dating? do you think it? i personally think it is wrong but that is jsut me lets hear what you have to say and why?

I go to a public school and judging from the number of teen pregnancies and the fact that dating is social plus, and a means/excuse to have sex, I would say that for the most part it is a good idea to avoid it. But generally I don't really think it is necessary in a Christians life. If it is God's will for you or someone else to get married, then He will bring along the right person. It is not something that we need to worry about or pursue. Then again I suppose that God can use anything to move a relationship into marriage, including dating. I know this has been true for many believers. But is dating always the right thing? During the teen years, no, and for people in general, for the most part, no.

Greetings.

I would raise the question:

"What is one's purpose and motive of wanting to go on a date?"

The question to whether dating is permissible or otherwise, I believe that God gives humans the rights to choose a partner. It is in the Bible. But the purpose is not about just sex.

So everyone should examine his/her purpose of wanting to go on a date.
